Built in the 1940s, the original structure at 1229 1st Street began its life as a service station for Snohomish’s original Bickford Motors. Over the decades, it changed hands several times, continuing to serve the community as an automotive garage.

In 1996, Chuck—Andy’s father—launched “Chuck's Seafood Grotto” with a splash of Seafair Pirate flair, serving up fish & chips and fresh local seafood. From a young age, Andy was part of the action, working alongside friends and family and bussing his first table at just six years old.
